S a m u e l F D D u n n i n g
Sam is an award-winning Actor, Filmmaker, and Model based out of New York City and Los Angeles.
He is best known for his roles as Ryan Heide on CBS's "Blue Bloods" (2020), Tim Travers in the short film "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" (2022), and Henry Goldman on Curiosity Stream's "Titans: The Rise of Wall Street" (2022).
Most recently Sam completed work on a feature version of "Tim Travers and the Time Traveler's Paradox" (2023) as the lead, starring alongside Joel McHale, Danny Trejo, Keith David, and Felicia Day. The short version of "Tim Travers", meanwhile has scored Sam "Best Actor" wins at FilmQuest, Nevermore, and Qosm film festivals in 2022. Other recent work includes the miniseries "Cowboy War" (Netflix, 2023), feature drama "Garbage Bag of Broken Bottles" (2023), short thriller soon to be turned feature "Whisper" (2023-4), short film "Happy For You" (2023), feature film "A Royal Christmas on Ice" (Tubi, 2022), short film "Wormhole" (2023), short comedy "The 44th Chamber of Shaolin" (2023), short "Radio Caesium" (2023), and miniseries "The Booze, Bets, and Sex That Built America" (History, 2022).
He is also in preproduction on his feature film "Canoe Dig It?", a comedy mockumentary which he wrote and will be directing, producing, and performing in summer of 2023. This following the completion of the feature "The Ones You Didn't Burn" (Chattanooga Film Festival, Frightfest, FilmQuest, Soho Intl. Film Festival to name a few) which he co-directed/AD'd and performed in as well (earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at Nevermore Film Festival 2023) and his own short horror comedy "Rick and Ruby" (2020) which won multiple awards on its festival run (Sitges, Screamfest, Landshut, Dead by Dawn, and more), written, produced, and performed by Sam.
Sam has trained extensively at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop in New York City, quickly advancing to their Master Class. Before that he graduated NYU: Tisch School of the Arts and holds a BFA in Film Production and Direction.
Sam has and continues to work as a print and runway model for fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Billy Reid, Stetson, and more.
Originally hailing from Brunswick, Maine, Sam now splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
